Carpet Cleaning
Carpets are a great option for flooring, but if they aren’t kept clean on a regular basis, they can harbour allergens, dust, and other contaminants that are dangerous to one’s health. Regular carpet cleaning is not only incredibly important for the health of your space, it also helps to prolong the life of your carpets and help them stay looking their best, which will improve the ambience of your environment.
Upholstery Cleaning
Most of us remember to run the vacuum over the carpet during the weekly clean. However, we often overlook our upholstery. Sofas, armchairs, dining chairs and other upholstered fabric furniture require cleaning from a specialist cleaner at least once a year. Regular vacuuming and occasional use of cleaning products is equally important as this keeps the number of contaminants in the upholstery furniture under control.
There are various carpet cleaning methods available, each with its own benefits and limitations. The most common methods include steam cleaning, dry cleaning, and encapsulation. It is important to find out which method works best for you.
Steam Cleaning / Hot Water Extraction
This is the most common cleaning method used by our professionals. It involves applying hot water and cleaning agent solution to the carpet using high-pressure jet spray. Following that, the solution and dirt are extracted from the carpet using a wet vacuum. This method is ideal for heavily stained carpets given that it provides a thorough carpet cleaning.
Stain Removal with Carpet / Upholstery Shampooing
Another great method to get rid of stubborn stains on carpets and upholstered furniture is shampooing, and this involves applying a cleaning agent to the carpet / upholstered furniture. The cleaning solution suspends the dirt and debris, which is then whipped into foam and removed by a specialized machine with rotating brushes. The hot extraction method is typically used by our professionals to ensure thorough cleanliness and prevent leaving wet foam residues on the carpet or upholstered furniture.
Dry Carpet Cleaning
This is another surface cleaning method that involves the use of heat and chemicals that loosen and disintegrate the oil inside carpet fibers. It utilizes a rotary machine with absorbent pads that thoroughly clean the carpet, leaving it dry and spotless. If your carpet is made of sensitive fibers, dry cleaning is the ideal cleaning method for you.
Bonnet Cleaning
This carpet cleaning method is a surface cleaning method; the rotating bonnet of the bonnet machine is submerged in a cleaning solution, which is then scrubbed on the carpet surface. The cleaning solution is then extracted along with the dirt and debris from the carpet fibers. One of the main advantages of bonnet cleaning is the fact that it’s a faster process and it requires less drying time.
Encapsulating Carpet Cleaning
Encapsulation is a relatively new technology used in carpet cleaning. This method involves applying a special cleaning foam across the carpet where it whips into foam and bubbles, while the brush works on the carpet to remove dirt and stains. Then a powerful vacuum cleaner with counter-rotating brushes will be used to lift the dirt off the carpet fibers. Due to its low moisture requirements, this cleaning method is perfect for carpets in busy commercial environments with high foot traffic. This method also offers quick drying time and it leaves minimal chemical residue, which makes it an eco-friendly carpet cleaning method.
